Candidate statement
Our wonderful city has huge potential, and some big challenges. Wise decisions and actions are needed to ensure Palmerston North is future-ready, works for everyone and is affordable for all of us.
Priority local opportunities include a fairer rating system, infrastructure resilience, enhanced community facilities and services, city and village centres, practical climate action, improved housing and greater transport choice.
Today I’m asking for your vote; offering my experience, energy and drive to keep contributing to our city’s best future. Trained as an agricultural scientist, I’m a proven community advocate, active listener, collaborative worker and highly-engaged Councillor. I promise to keep listening and championing community empowerment, evidence-based decisions, value for money and stronger accountability.
On the referendum: our city's Māori Ward adds immense value, strengthening community-wide connections and improving Council effectiveness. Please vote to retain it.
