Notice is given under section 71(2) of the Local Electoral Act 2001 that the nomination received for Atif RAHIM for the 2025 triennial election of the Te Hirawanui General Ward of the Palmerston North City Council has been cancelled due to incapacitation.
The above candidate’s name will still appear on the voting documents issued to electors in the Te Hirawanui General Ward. Electors therefore should not vote for this candidate. Any votes received for this candidate will be redistributed to the next candidate according to the voter’s preference.
