The District Licensing Committee considers all alcohol licence applications in Palmerston North
The committee is set up under the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012, which aims to:
- reduce harm from excessive or inappropriate drinking
- make sure alcohol is sold and supplied safely and responsibly.
The committee decides on applications for all types of alcohol licences, as well as temporary authorities and manager's certificates.
