Marina, Customer Success Officer

If you’ve ever called in with a question or needed support, chances are Marina’s had a hand in making sure you got the help you needed. As our interim Customer Success Officer, Marina is the friendly bridge between our council and all our customers we take calls for.

Our call centre operates 24/7 and answers for more than half of New Zealand’s councils, plus a range of other organisations. It’s a massive job and Marina’s right at the heart of it all, helping with everything from contracts to emergency coverage.

When the Tongariro fire struck in early November, the call centre stepped up in a big way, helping to manage evacuation calls and setting up a dedicated emergency line to keep people informed and safe.

Before taking on her current role, Marina started on the overnight graveyard shift before eventually moving to the evening shifts, one of the call centre’s busiest times. These days, she’s loving the chance to enjoy more regular hours.

Outside work, Marina is an avid gamer! It’s her favourite way to unwind after a day of helping others.
