Register as an IQP
Use the forms on this page to register as an IQP, add more specified systems to your registration, or renew your current registration.
We maintain our register on behalf of the following territorial authorities:
- Palmerston North City Council
- Manawatū District Council
- New Plymouth District Council
- South Taranaki District Council
- Stratford District Council
- Tararua District Council
- Whanganui District Council
Apply for registration within the Central IQP area
Use the application form below if you are:
- a new IQP applicant
- an IQP who is registered outside the Central IQP area (ie, outside the areas listed above)
- a registered IQP adding more specified systems to your registration.
You will need to include supporting evidence for each specified system you're applying for. This includes:
- relevant qualifications
- referees
- experience in the field
- relevant knowledge of the Building Act.

Renew your registration every 12 months
Please apply for renewal using the form below. Note, if you're adding new specified systems, you'll need to complete the application form above.

The application and payment process
Please email your completed application and renewal forms and supporting evidence to centraliqp@pncc.govt.nz. Once we receive them, we will send you an invoice.
For renewals, the certificate will be issued once payment is received.
For new applications, the certificate will be issued once payment is received and the Central IQP Panel has approved the application at its quarterly meeting.
