We’re rebuilding the section between Milton and Featherston Streets until late May.
The work will involve removing the top layer of the road and rebuilding it from the base up, which is a more extensive upgrade than a standard reseal.
Construction will take place on weekdays from 7am to 5pm and is expected to run until late May.
Work is being carried out in three stages, with the first section from Milton to Rata, then Rata to Hayden, and finally Hayden to Featherston. Each section will require a 24/7 road closure for through traffic while work is underway, with detours clearly signposted.
A temporary roundabout is installed at Armstrong and Tremaine to help keep traffic moving along the main detour route.
Access to shops and the Roslyn Library will remain open throughout the project. Visitors are encouraged to enter the area via Tremaine Avenue or Kipling Street.
