Pōwhiri for Newcomers

If you've just arrived in Palmy, we'd like to extend a warm kia ora and welcome you to our wonderful city!

Join us on September 2nd at Te Manawa Museum for our renowned welcome ceremony, hosted by Rangitāne.

The pōwhiri, led by Rangitāne, will formally welcome all newcomers to Palmy. After that, we'll come together to share kai (food) and get to know one another, followed by a walking tour of the city centre.

Registration is not required for this free event. We look forward to seeing you there!
