Proposal to uplift reserve status and dispose of part of Adderstone

Under Section 24 of the Reserves Act 1977 the Palmerston North City Council is proposing to revoke the reserve status of two portions of land, totalling 1.74 ha, that make up part of the overall 6.76 ha Adderstone Reserve.

The areas affected by the proposed reserve revocation are part of Part Lot 3 DP 68798 contained in Certificate of title WN48B/598.  The areas form parts of the grassed open space of Adderstone Reserve.

The proposal is being considered in parallel with Proposed District Plan Change G: Aokautere Urban Growth. The areas are proposed to be changed to residential housing use.

Submissions or objections are now being sought from any person or organisation with respect to this proposal.

Those making a submission or objection should do so in writing and specify whether they wish to appear before and be heard by a Council committee in support of their submission or objection.

The closing date for submissions to the proposal is 4pm, Monday 5 September 2022. Submission forms must be lodged with the Council by one of the following options:
