Talking to your elected Council

There are lots of ways you can get in touch with your local representatives.

Get in touch by phone or email

Speak at a committee meeting

For most ordinary committee meetings, the first half hour is set aside for comments from the public. There are some rules around this – contact Council's democracy and governance team for information.

If you wish to speak to Council on behalf of a group or organisation to make a presentation or bring a petition, you’ll need to contact our democracy and governance team at least seven working days before the meeting, outlining the issues you intend to address. Your request will need to be approved by the committee chairperson.

Email us at governance@pncc.govt.nz or phone 06 356 8199.

Talk to a Councillor

You can get in touch with your local Palmy representatives by phone, email, or writing a letter. Wondering who's the best person to speak to about a particular issue? Portfolio responsibilities are listed on each Councillor's individual page, along with their contact details. Or check this handy document to see them all in once place.
