Sign up for long-term plan updates

Consultation on Council’s Long-Term Plan 2024-34 will run during April this year. There are loads of ways to have your say and we hope you do.

It's only by hearing your thoughts that we'll be able to make sure the plan covers all the things most important to you.

Sign up so we can let you know when it's time to have your say

During the consultation period we’ll have a range of ways for you to chat to ask and ask your questions. You’ll also be able to have your say through making a formal submission.

We’ll have submission forms at our libraries and Customer Service Centre as well as online.

We’re still working on dates and times but we will be keeping you informed every step of the way.

If you represent an organisation, school or business, we can arrange to come and chat to you during or ahead of the consultation. Simply flick an email to ltp@pncc.govt.nz and we’ll lock in a time with you!

All comments made on our social media channels will also be shared with our elected members for consideration. You’ll also be able to speak to your submission, where you can come and chat about your ideas, opportunities or concerns face-to-face with our elected members.

Fill in our online form to sign up. We'll send you an email alert to let you know when consultation starts, as well as occasional emails to let you know what's happening at key points in the consultation. We promise we won't spam you. We'll only use your details to contact you about the long-term plan, and we'll delete them once elected members have adopted the plan.

There’ll be plenty of other ways for you to find information and give feedback during consultation too!

Come and talk to us here

We’ll be out and about before and during the consultation ready to answer any questions you have and hear what you have to say. Some of the events we’ll be at are listed below. We look forward to seeing you there for a chat about any and all things to do with the plan.

We’ll be at every one of our Summer Movie Nights being held right around Palmy over the next couple of months. This will be a great chance to ask any questions you may have about the long-term plan and to let us know what you think. We’ll have heaps of info about how you can have your say during the consultation so come along and have a chat with us before the film starts. We'll be there from 5.30pm (films start at 6pm). See you there!

Festival of Cultures

This iconic event is all about celebrating the diversity in our community through the sharing of cultural cuisine, art, song, dance, rhythm, games and more. We’ll see you at the World Food, Craft & Music Fair on Saturday. Music and food, how good!

Explore Esplanade Day

The Esplanade is home to Palmy’s biggest playground, popular paddling pools and accessible bushwalks and so much more. On this special day we’ll have live music and dance performances, food and craft stalls, and plenty of free activities for the whole whānau to enjoy! Bring your hats, sunscreen, and come on down.
